Ambassador Philip Idro

Ambassador Idro, an economist, held high level public offices for thirty years in Uganda. He built up a successful grain processing firm that serves as training centre for JICA and other development partners for Africa. Amb Idro is actively involved globally in various policy and strategy on development matters, has advised on the Rockefeller “China in Africa” Program. He is on African Union (domesticating CAADP and Malabo), African Development Bank (Supports to strategic crops SARD-SC) and AfricaRice (transforming rice growing) committees. He is member of The Presidential Investors Round Table and Chairman of several development committees in Uganda. Idro loves reading, creative thinking, public affairs and playing golf.
